BEAUJOLAIS-VILLAGES 2006, NICOLAS POTEL

Nicolas Potel was always meant to inherit Domaine Pousse d’Or in Volnay, made famous by his father Gérard. Sadly Gérard died prematurely and the estate was sold off, leaving Nicolas to set himself up as a négociant. Right from the start he began making use of his considerable talent and winemaking experience, producing wines from all over Burgundy which beautifully express the vast variety of their terroir.

His wines are always reliable, always typical of the place they come from, and some of them, particularly his older bottlings from top vineyards, are spectacular.
